When we took Oliver to my postpartum appointment, he was looking a bit like a banana. They tested him for jaundice and we found out his bilirubin level had gone from 6 when we left the hospital to 18.9! After a series of doctor's appointments, we found ourselves back at home with a home nurse who set up our little glow worm with his very own tanning bed. He had "tan" for 24 hours a day. He was only allowed to take breaks every 3 hours to eat. Believe it or not, he LOVED his bed! The nurse would come to our house every morning to check him out and draw his blood. Luckily he only had to tan for about a week, and our glow worm can now be held as much as he wants!Saturday, January 28, 2012
