Ollie...
* I cannot believe Ollie is a year old! It really is crazy how fast time flies.
* We had his 1st birthday at the Moulton cabin. The Porters and Moultons all gathered for pizza, sledding, a treasure hunt, and of course a pinata made by Andrew. The party was inspired by Oliver's one true love....Pirate's Booty. It was a ton of fun!
* He is standing and taking a few steps alone.
* He LOVES music and can't help but dance when he hears any sort of music.
* He has entered the stage of throwing tantrums when he doesn't get his way. Luckily they are short lived and he gives up easily.
* He is very dramatic and loves to roll around on the ground and pretend to fall.
* He loves Cheetos and Doritos. I know it may be shocking to some, but Andrew is the one who made these discoveries.
* He loves the bath and tries to climb in himself when he hears the water running.
* He is still a string bean. Only 10th percentile for weight weighing in at a whopping 19 pounds.
* We gave him a mini ride on 4 wheeler for his birthday that he is obsessed with.
* He can't say anything yet, but does make the most incredible motorcycle sounds when playing with cars. I wonder where he learned to do that?
* He still is toothless. We are starting a denture fund.
Elliot
* He is talking non-stop. His vocabulary has come so far in 6 months.
* He has retired the names mom and dad and now prefers to use Andrew and Emily.
* He learned how to ride a 2 wheeler with no training wheels. Yes, he is only 2 years old.
* He loves to be outside and work in the garage with dad.
* He loves to as he calls it, "check things out".
* He is still obsessed with Legos. His personal fave is the Lego store at Bellevue Square. He spent his money from Great Grandma Porter on a new Lego motorcycle there. He couldn't wait to get home to build it, so we had to build it in the middle of the mall. He was in heaven!
* He loves to talk on the phone. If I ask for the phone back, he says, "No, I talk a Megan first."
* He loves his aunts and uncles and is always asking for them to come to his house.
* His diet still only consists of McDonalds chicken nuggets and chocolate milk. Anytime we drive by a "Donalds" he requests chicken and honey.
* He has entered the phase of "I do it myself". Putting on socks, shoes, and clothes in general has never been so painful to watch.
Andrew & Emily
* Andrew is staying busy with his new calling. He feels like he is in seminary again trying to wake up for his Sunday morning Bishopric meetings.
* He is still running his business, Moulton Maintenance Solutions. He is a trooper and never complains about working in the beautiful Seattle winter weather.
* He continues to be the best dad ever. I came home yesterday and found some homework he had been doing with Oliver and Elliot taped on the wall. He had made them worksheets practicing shapes and colors. Seriously?
* I am staying plenty busy working with the Mia Maids, teaching 23 rowdy kindergartners, and tutoring in my "spare" time.
