Prego Pictures ~ 20 Weeks

I finally gave in....Andrew has been begging me to let him take a picture of my belly. I haven't been so keen on the idea, but I decided to let him for Thanksgiving. Looks like quite a large turkey for only 20 weeks if you ask me!
And yes, I need a hair cut terribly!

Serious Catch Up Post...In No Particular Order

1. Andrew turned 26 in October! We celebrated his birthday by carrying on the tradition of sherbet pumpkin faces with my family. Andrew and I also went away for the weekend to Suncadia Resort where we attended the Fall Harvest Festival (hence the picture of me on the hay ride). We had a great time! Andrew was the only 26 year old running to get in line for the indoor water slides at the resort. I'm so glad I married someone just like me!

2. We went to the Evergreen State Fair in the pouring rain! Mullets, good fair food, good people watching....what more could you ask for?

3. My dad has a new found hobby....4 wheeling! He has now outfitted the family with a 20 foot trailer, 5 kids quads, and 3 adult quads. Go dad! Love it when he gets on kicks that we benefit from. Uncle Andrew took Luke on a special date to Reiter Pitt and then to the Sultan Bakery for lunch. He is the "F.U." after all....favorite uncle that is.

4. I'm pregnant! I'm currently 17 weeks and 2 days. Feeling okay and oh so excited! Andrew made my Halloween costume this year. What do you think? Who else do you know that would have this many colors of electrical tape on hand?

5. Andrew finished all of his classes at The University of Washington so we had a pool party in August to celebrate!

6. My childhood dreams came true last week when I got a chance to work at McDonalds! No joke, I got to make all of the desserts for McTeachers Night. Boy do I have a lot of respect for people who work in the food service industry. I was exhausted by the end of the night! I have proof, I just can't get the picture to load. It was FANTASTIC! I make a mean McFlurry!

Bathroom Projects

So I've wanted some artwork to go in both of our bathrooms, but haven't had the funds to buy anything. After watching The Home and Garden channel (A LOT!), I decided to do a few homemade/handmade projects.

Seafair 5k

Andrew and I were supposed to run the Seafair 5k together, but a few days before I rolled my ankle while backpacking and sprained it. Unfortunately (or fortunately) I couldn't run. Andrew was a rockstar of course, even though he didn't run a lick before the race!

In June the Porter Family went to the San Juan Islands for our first annual (hopefully) family reunion. We stayed on a small bay on the island of San Juan. Marc and Paige and their kids made the trip from Utah to join us. We had a great time! We had the Porter Family Olympics, went on motorcycle rides, clamming, we played on the beach, relaxed, and had a great time!

First Annual Moulton Maintenance Skim Board Invitational

The last weekend in May we went with some friends to Twin Harbors State Park on the Washington Coast. We were all a little unprepared when the weather decided to take a turn for the worse! Mel and Troy made a stop at the Walmart in Aberdeen and bought some really sweet sweats to keep warm. Luckily the weather improved the following day and the boys were able to go surfing while the girls sunbathed (or sunburned) on the beach. We had a great time, although we missed Craig and Whitney desperately!

The Sand Dunes

Andrew creating his version of "sand art"....

Ivan riding the his motorized bike. After a few rounds around the parking lot he informed us his bike was "a little embarassing".

Last weekend we went with Barrett and Beckie's family to the Beverly sand dunes. We spent the night at a nearby camp ground and survived the windiest weather ever! The next day we went to the dunes....so fun!

Andrew's Graduation

What a perfect cake for a college graduation! Check out the spelling and grammar!

This is what happens when a 9 year old takes your picture....
It's official....Andrew is now a graduate of University of Washington Bothell. He graduated with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in Global Studies. I couldn't be more proud of him!
