Rock Climbing in Leavenworth

So last night at about 8:30pm Andrew and I decided we wanted to go away for the weekend. We quickly packed up the car and decided we would go to the Washington Coast to go surfing and relax on the beach. While Andrew was putting the surf board on top of the car, I decided it might be a novel idea to check the weather. Our plans quickly changed. The weather forecast was rainy and 39 degrees....a little less than ideal for camping and surfing. Andrew was heart broken. We decided to head the other direction and by 9:00pm we were off to Leavenworth. We stayed overnight, woke up and had breakfast at Sandy's Waffle and Dinner Haus (we don't recommend it) and then spent the day rock climbing in Icicle Creek Canyon. It was beautiful! Our good friends, Melanie and Troy, drove up and spent the day with us. We were so glad they made the 2 hour trek up through the pass!

So Fun you guys! I wish there was something... anything to climb here in the big D. Brayden had so much fun when we went with you guys. :-) Say hi to Mel for me. I love seeing her round little belly.

And it was SOOOOO worth it. Great weather, great snacks, great laughs and some great conversation. I just love you guys. For that much fun we would have drove even further. Next up, we want to go to Lake Chelan to camp later this month. You're hereby invited.

We ate at Sandy's Waffle Haus too when we went to Leavenworth. We had gone in January for our anniversary... it was beautiful then.. snow and all...
Tonight was really fun by the way... it was great getting to know you and Andrew a little better!
