A friend of ours gave us their old dresser. We were so excited! We took it home that night and sanded it down and then painted it black. What do you think?
A perfect example of the generation gap. My first thought was that it looked very nice but most likely your kids or grandkids will want to strip the paint off and return in to the natural finish. Isn't it interesting how styles and tastes change but no "one" is neccesarily correct.

Whoever gave you the dresser is going to be asking for it back after they see this post. It looks fantastic! Did you just use black semigloss paint?
I just did the same thing with a junky dresser and 4 poster bed I got off craigslist! So fun! It looks great guys!
